The Saudi Sailing Federation wanted to put out similar content across different platforms – Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Linkedin – but needed a different tone to match each channel. It was up to me to quickly flesh out a month of social media posts, choosing relevant topics and placing them in the calendar. Close collaboration with design team was needed to make sure graphics were in line with post copy.

Meet The Teams Coming To Jeddah: Emirates Team NZ
As the stand-out winners of the America’s Cup in 2021, and current holders of the Cup, Emirates Team New Zealand are considered to be one of the world’s premier sports teams. They have a phenomenal track record in the America’s Cup—having famously first won the event in 1995 before retaining it in 2000. After suffering some notable defeats in 2003, 2007, and 2013, the team, under the leadership of CEO Grant Dalton, regained the Cup in 2017 in Bermuda. Dalton was instrumental in pushing for the monohull foiling design of the AC75 and in 2021 defended the America’s Cup successfully on home waters in Auckland.
The Kiwi team are now looking for the ‘three-peat’—winning and defending the Cup three times in a row, a feat that’s only previously been achieved by the US.
The Second Preliminary Regatta of the 37th America’s Cup will take place in Jeddah from Wednesday 29th November to Saturday 2nd December.
To watch it in person, secure your tickets now – either reserve the best seats in the house at Jeddah Yacht Club, or enjoy the racing for free in the Fan Village on the Corniche. Not in Jeddah that week? All the action will be broadcast live free to air on the Saudi Sports Channel, on MBC's Shahid platform, and streamed on social media.
